Vishwamanava Double Road to Bloom with Ornamental Plants

Mysuru is all set to witness a green transformation with the Mysuru City Corporation’s latest beautification project. A 4-kilometer stretch from Kukkarahalli Junction to Dattagalli is being revamped into a stunning green haven. This new initiative promises to add a breath of fresh air to the city, enhancing its scenic beauty and creating a visually refreshing space for both residents and visitors.

50 Varieties of Plants for a Vibrant Landscape

The project will feature 50 varieties of ornamental and flowering plants, chosen to complement Mysuru’s natural charm. These carefully selected plants not only aim to beautify the area but also ensure longevity and sustained vibrancy. The plants have been chosen with resilience in mind, ensuring they can withstand grazing by animals while offering a long-lasting green landscape.

Sustaining the Greenery for Future Generations

The beautification effort is more than just an aesthetic upgrade. The greenery will contribute to improving the urban environment, promoting a cleaner and greener Mysuru for generations to come. To maintain the project’s success, the Mysuru City Corporation has awarded a ₹70-lakh contract for a two-year maintenance plan. This will cover all aspects of plant care, including planting, fertilizing, and watering.

This new initiative aligns with the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance its environmental appeal while contributing to the overall health of the urban space. With careful planning and attention to maintenance, the transformation from Kukkarahalli Junction to Dattagalli will serve as an enduring testament to Mysuru’s commitment to sustainability and beauty.
