A.R. Rahman’s Yuva Dasara Concert: A Night to Remember with Legendary Music and Unforgettable Moments

Mysuru witnessed an unforgettable night as A.R. Rahman’s concert at Yuva Dasara became a tremendous hit, drawing lakhs of people from across Karnataka. The sheer excitement of the event was evident, as parking stretched 2-3 kilometers from the venue. Many fans who reached late were stuck in traffic for hours, struggling to make it in time to witness the legendary maestro perform live.

Even Bollywood actress and influencer Shenaz Treasury wasn’t spared from the traffic chaos. She had secured two VIP tickets worth ₹16,000 but was unfortunately unable to attend the concert due to being caught in the gridlock. Expressing her disappointment on social media, Shenaz remarked, “The whole of Karnataka seems to be in Mysuru to see A.R. Rahman!”—a true testament to the overwhelming turnout for the event.

The concert, which kicked off at 7:45 PM and continued until 11 PM, was nothing short of magical. A.R. Rahman performed a selection of his legendary musical hits, soothing the audience with his iconic compositions. Alongside Rahman, the night featured stellar performances by Mohit Chauhan, Shweta Mohan, Sivamani, and Mysuru’s very own Rakshitha, adding even more local pride to the evening.

The crowd was in for a special treat when Vijay Prakash, a proud Mysorean, joined A.R. Rahman on stage. In a heartfelt moment, Prakash welcomed Rahman by saying, “We are in Mysuru! I’m also a Mysorean, and thank you for visiting our city, sir.”

Rahman’s reply was full of warmth and admiration: “Thank you! It’s a pleasure and an honour. I was just coming in the car, looking at the city. It is beautifully blessed and green. At least the way I came in was super inspiring. Such a beautiful city!”

Prakash echoed the sentiments of every Mysorean when he said, “The city is as beautiful as the people, sir.” Rahman smiled in agreement and added, “Exactly! Thank you for supporting the show, and keep enjoying!”

As the music flowed into the cool Mysuru night, the concert created an unforgettable atmosphere. Fans were entranced by Rahman’s soulful tunes, and the collaboration with artists like Mohit Chauhan and Sivamani only elevated the energy. Despite the traffic and logistical challenges, the concert will be remembered as one of the grandest events of Yuva Dasara, marking yet another milestone for Mysuru’s cultural heritage.

For those who made it, the night was nothing short of magical—a testament to Mysuru’s charm, its people, and its love for great music.
