Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced this initiative during the Bengaluru Tech Summit, emphasizing Mysuru’s potential to become a cornerstone of innovation. The district will cater to GCCs—spaces for global companies to develop solutions in AI, quantum computing, cloud technologies, and fintech. This is part of Karnataka’s ambitious GCC Policy (2024–2029), targeting $50 billion in economic output and 3.5 lakh jobs by 2029.

Mysuru’s innovation district will be backed by workforce development programs under the NIPUNA Karnataka initiative, ensuring a steady stream of industry-ready professionals.
