Vivanta Comes to Mysuru: Taj Group’s New Hotel Set to Rise Near Hebbal Industrial Area

Mysuru’s hospitality landscape is witnessing a remarkable transformation, and leading this change is the Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL)—the name behind legendary hotel brands like Taj, Vivanta, SeleQtions, and Ginger.

In a significant move, IHCL has just signed a new Vivanta hotel in Mysuru, to be developed in the thriving Hebbal Industrial Area, a region fast emerging as the city’s business and logistics hub. This new property will feature 115 keys, an all-day dining restaurant, a stylish bar, a fully-equipped fitness center, a swimming pool, and well-designed meeting and event spaces.

The project is being developed in collaboration with Farah Builders, a local real estate group based in Karnataka.

A Boost to Business Travel in Hebbal

The location couldn’t be more strategic. With the Bengaluru–Mysuru Highway drastically improving road access between the two cities, Mysuru is becoming increasingly attractive for corporate investments, weekend tourism, and regional conferences. The Hebbal area is already home to major industries, IT parks, and educational institutions—and it has long needed an upscale hotel option. Vivanta Mysuru aims to fill that gap.

Speaking on the announcement, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said:

Mysuru, with its rich cultural heritage and a diverse economy spanning manufacturing, education, and tourism, continues to evolve as a key urban centre. Enhanced connectivity through recent infrastructure developments like the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway is further boosting travel and tourism in the region. This signing is in line with our strategy to expand in fast-growing economic and cultural destinations.

Liaquath Ali Khan, Managing Director of Farah Builders, added:

We are proud to partner with IHCL to bring the Vivanta brand to Mysuru. This hotel will serve as a contemporary hub for the city’s growing hospitality needs.

IHCL’s Growing Presence in Mysuru

Earlier this year, IHCL also announced the signing of a Taj-branded hotel in Mysuru, a heritage-inspired luxury property set near Chamundi Hills. That upcoming hotel will showcase Indo-Saracenic architecture and cater to tourists seeking the cultural and royal charm of the city.

Now, with Vivanta coming to Hebbal, IHCL is clearly positioning itself across multiple segments of Mysuru’s tourism and business ecosystem—from regal heritage luxury to contemporary urban hospitality.

With the addition of Vivanta Mysuru, IHCL’s portfolio in Karnataka has grown to 26 hotels, including 12 under development, further cementing the group’s confidence in the region’s economic and tourism potential.

A New Chapter for Mysuru

From heritage to high-tech, Mysuru is evolving—and so is the quality of experiences it offers. As the city expands its industrial base and strengthens its tourism credentials, projects like Vivanta Mysuru signal that top-tier hospitality brands are not just visiting, but investing in the city’s future.
